Speaker bio

Gennaro Cuofano is the founder of FourWeekMBA and The Business Engineer, publications he built into one of the most-read business analysis platforms in the world — attracting more than ten million visitors in 2023. He holds an International MBA and a Masters in Law, has worked as an AI industry executive since 2016, and spent time at WordLift in Rome before building his current London-based publication platform. Gennaro coined the Business Engineering methodology, a framework for analysing how organisations create, distribute, and capture value in the digital era. His Five Levels of Agentic Commerce framework names the agentic progression in a way the industry has been working toward but struggling to articulate.

Session’s place in the framework

Gennaro’s session covers OPIDC, coined by Jason Barnard in 2026 as the Serve phase of the Kalicube Framework — the five-stage cycle (Onboarded, Performed, Integrated, Devoted, Codified) through which brands build the client relationships that become the corroboration substrate feeding back into the AI Engine Pipeline. Gennaro brings the Business Engineering vantage to OPIDC: what it looks like when a practitioner runs the full serve cycle using a team of agents, and why the human orchestrator at the centre of that team remains the irreplaceable element. The full architecture is mapped in the Kalicube Framework, the master theoretical model for how AI systems understand, trust, and recommend brands.

Pre-statement of session territory

Gennaro Cuofano runs a team of forty agents in his terminal — handling analysis, content, business engineering, and UX without a human team — and has thought harder than most about where the human remains irreplaceable. At Kalicube Summit 2026, Gennaro will make the case that the most valuable people in the AI era are the super generalist and the super individual contributor, that the creative leap to the tail of the distribution where real-world business insight lives is still entirely human, and that the next hundred-billion-dollar company will be the one that routes users across model families rather than betting on a single model.

The session will cover how to architect an agent team that routes tasks correctly rather than burning tokens to no end, why augmentation — not automation — is the correct mental model for what AI actually does for a practitioner, and what Gennaro’s job interview for an AI coding agent revealed about which model is the most honest, and why that matters more than which is the most capable. The session sits in the Day 2 OPIDC practitioner cluster alongside Scott Duffy on B2B (Session 2.12) and Brian Scudamore on B2C (Session 2.13) — three operators running different business types on the same underlying serve cycle, each showing what it looks like in practice.

Sample questions from the session

  • You run forty agents in your terminal. What does the architecture actually look like, and how do you decide which task goes to which agent?
  • You said the next significant AI company will not be a single-model company. What will it be, and why does that matter for brands choosing which platform to build on?
  • The creative leap — moving to the tail of the distribution where data does not yet exist — is yours. Can you say more about why that remains irreplaceable and what happens when brands outsource it to the machine?
  • You gave each of the frontier models a job interview for a coding role. What were the results, and what did they tell you about how to work with each one?
  • What is the failure mode you see most often when companies adopt AI, and how do you guard against it?
