Speaker bio

Andrea Volpini is a visionary entrepreneur and long-time researcher in the fields of the Semantic Web and Artificial Intelligence. In 2017, he founded WordLift, a company dedicated to helping businesses become more visible in AI-powered search through knowledge graphs and structured data. He is also the co-founder of Insideout10 and Redlink, and brings more than 25 years of world-class experience in online strategy, web publishing, and digital innovation. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his two daughters, and skiing whenever he has the chance.

What Andrea brings to Kalicube Summit 2026

Andrea Volpini brings two sessions to Kalicube Summit 2026 that cover the agentic edge of the framework’s evolution: the Delegation Boundary (the mechanism that determines how AI agents decide which decisions to defer versus execute autonomously) and Codified Operations (the structured-data layer that carries codified evidence into AI surfaces at scale).

His work at WordLift – positioning an enterprise customer base at the front of the agentic transition for two years before most of the industry was ready to discuss it – gives him production-level evidence about what the Delegation Boundary looks like in real agentic commerce deployments. His three modes of delegation (Search, Assistive, Agent), three clicks (Imperfect, Perfect, Agentic), and three failure modes (Agentic Ghost Tax, Agentic Churn, Tool Reselection Rate) are the framework’s most operationally precise treatment of the agentic layer.

His Codified Operations session closes Day 2’s pre-recorded library by providing the structured-data implementation of the codification work Joe Pulizzi argues for in the preceding session – schema configuration at each publication tier, the three re-entry points into the AI Engine Pipeline, and why the inference layer is the highest-leverage entry point in the agentic era.

Session 2.18 Andrea Volpini on Codified Operations — Evidence Packs, Model Perception, and Knowledge Engineering Day 2, June 25, 2026 Framework concept: Codified (coined by Jason Barnard in 2026), Stage 15 of The Kalicube Framework and the operational discipline that activates the Kalicube Flywheel Read the preview | Watch the session

One-line description: Andrea covers the two bookend decisions of Day 2 from his semantic web and knowledge graph engineering vantage: the Delegation Boundary at Gate 10 where AI decides whether to defer or transact autonomously, and Codified at Stage 15 where the brand turns its outcomes into the machine-readable evidence that keeps the Flywheel turning.

Andrea’s place in the wider framework conversation

Andrea Volpini’s work at WordLift – building knowledge graph and structured-data infrastructure for brands navigating the agentic transition – independently documents both the Delegation Boundary mechanism and the Codified re-entry architecture the framework names in the Day 2 strategy sessions. His two decades in the Semantic Web and his enterprise production deployments in agentic e-commerce make his sessions the summit’s most operationally grounded treatment of where the AI Engine Pipeline goes next.
