What Joe brings to Kalicube Summit 2026
Joe Pulizzi coined the term “content marketing” in 2001. At Kalicube Summit 2026, he makes the case that the discipline he named two decades ago has reached its most important evolution: the shift from content as audience-building mechanism to content as machine-readable codified evidence.
Joe’s session covers the Codified stage of OPIDC from the content marketing strategic vantage — the argument that turning real client outcomes into machine-readable evidence is the single largest expansion of the content marketing function in fifteen years. His three publication tiers (first-party claim, second-party corroboration, third-party proof) are the content marketer’s translation of the codification architecture the framework names in Stage 15 of the AI Engine Pipeline.
Joe’s Content Inc. methodology — building a content business that owns its audience rather than renting attention — independently documents the Codified and Distributed logic the framework maps in the post-Won loop. The brands that have followed his methodology and built genuine owned media assets are exactly the brands with the content infrastructure to generate and distribute codified evidence at scale.
Joe’s session at the Summit
Session 2.17 Joe Pulizzi on Codified — Content Marketing as the Strategic Discipline Day 2, June 25, 2026 Framework concept: Codified (coined by Jason Barnard in 2026) as a content marketing discipline, Stage 15 of The Kalicube Framework. Read the preview | Watch the session

One-line description: Joe covers Codified from the content marketing founder’s vantage, naming how the discipline of turning real outcomes into structured, machine-readable, distributed evidence connects the content marketer’s craft directly to the compounding engine inside the Kalicube Flywheel.
Joe’s place in the wider framework conversation
Joe Pulizzi’s Content Inc. methodology — building owned media assets that compound over time rather than renting platform attention — independently documents the Codified and Distributed logic the framework names in Stage 15. His twenty-five years of content marketing thought leadership have been mapping the evidence-building function that the AI era now requires at machine-readable precision. His session is the strategic capstone for the summit’s codification conversation.
