Speaker bio
Neel Murty is Head of Measurement Solutions for Southeast Asia at Google, where he leads the measurement agenda for some of the region’s largest advertisers. His work centres on helping marketers make better decisions through data — specifically through advanced measurement methodologies including incrementality testing and Marketing Mix Models. As AI becomes central to how marketers optimise performance, Neel’s focus has expanded to ensuring measurement practices evolve at the same pace — including how those same disciplines can be adapted for agents making decisions autonomously. In his own words: “I help people make better marketing decisions — most of it is backed by data and advanced measurement. It is evolving rapidly to help agents do the same.”
What Neel brings to Kalicube Summit
Neel Murty brings the measurement practitioner’s perspective from inside Google — the vantage point that most practitioners can only infer from the outside. Where Laurence O’Toole covers measurement methodology from the agency and tool-builder’s side, Neel covers it from the platform side: what Google’s own measurement infrastructure sees, what it does not see, and how the shift to AI-assisted and agentic decision-making is forcing the discipline to evolve.
The AI era has not made measurement simpler. It has made it more consequential — because AI engines are now making recommendations and completing transactions on behalf of users, the signals that feed those decisions need to be cleaner, more structured, and more deliberately managed than anything the classic attribution model required. Neel’s session places that challenge in the context of the Kalicube Framework’s measurement layer: how presence, prominence, and sentiment translate into the data signals AI systems use to evaluate and recommend brands. His perspective is the one that closes the loop between what practitioners build and what the platform actually measures.

Session 2.5 Neel Murty on Measurement for the Assistive Era — Presence, Prominence, and Sentiment Day 2, June 25, 2026 Framework concept: The Micro-Macro Shift — the measurement methodology shift from keyword-level tracking to macro research frameworks that capture AI engine visibility across surfaces, personas, and intent stages. One-line description: Neel covers the measurement evolution that AI-era brand visibility requires — from the platform-side vantage at Google, with specific focus on how incrementality, presence, and sentiment signals feed into the AI recommendation layer.

Neel’s place in the wider framework conversation
Neel Murty’s position at Google has been built on a single conviction: most businesses are data rich and information poor. The measurement cluster on Day 2 — Laurence O’Toole’s Funnel Query Pathway at Session 2.2, his agentic commerce session at Session 2.4, and Neel’s assistive era session at Session 2.5 — is the most practically actionable sequence in the programme. Neel’s slot closes the measurement argument from the inside: what the platform infrastructure actually captures, how AI decision-making is changing what signals matter, and why measurement that was adequate for classic search is structurally insufficient for the assistive era.
